Estimator, Civil Engineering, Building & Residential Construction, Quantity Surveyor
HRGM Corporation is a Specialty Roofing Contractor focused on large-scale commercial work and service work for Local, State and Federal Government Agencies. Projects include ground-up construction, renovation and component replacement work. HRGM is a successful company with a dynamic and vibrant culture. We seek individuals who are self-motivated and desire to leave their mark on buildings throughout the City.
Senior EstimatorThe role of Senior Estimator for HRGM is an important and detail-oriented position. It requires a person who can analyze contract requirements to understand how to meet the performance specifications dictated by the client. In today’s construction market, contractors are asked to partner with Owners and General Contractors to not only build projects, but to help design them as well. “Design-Build”, as it is known, is utilized as a cost-savings technique for HRGM’s government clients where financial resources are constrained.
This process moves the design burden and costs onto the contractor whereby the client provides a set of performance guidelines. It is up to the contractor to design the building in the most efficient way to meet these requirements. As a result of this, HRGM requires a candidate who is able to understand these performance specifications, who has the ability to analyze contract requirements.
Candidates should be familiar with BIM, LEED, and Lean for construction, as these industry trends will affect the outcome of project cost. This is in addition to the basic requirements of field estimating which are performing take-offs, and utilizing on-screen estimating programs.
Successful candidate will be asked to attend and participate in pre-construction meetings with the client, and conduct project start-up meetings with subcontractors or vendors as needed.
