We are seeking an Assistant Scheduler to support design, pre‑construction, and construction phases by creating and troubleshooting construction schedules.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Assist in pre‑construction planning and preliminary schedule development.
- Support the Scheduling Department in planning, developing, and maintaining construction schedules for active projects.
- Help the Project Scheduler with schedule updates and maintenance on assigned projects and coordinate collaborative planning sessions with project teams, subcontractors, designers, and stakeholders.
- Review schedule updates, including critical path and near‑term schedules, to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and communicate opportunities or alternatives to the schedule in collaboration with the Project Scheduler and project team.
- Troubleshoot, monitor, and communicate potential scheduling problems.
- Assist in analyzing and communicating the impact of changes to the schedule.
- Communicate the status of projects to the Scheduling Department.
- Utilize analytics to identify and report on project trends.
- Gather monthly schedule information to update, analyze, and prepare monthly executive progress reports.
- Identify lessons learned on projects and communicate this information to project teams.
- Ensure historical archiving of construction schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related discipline preferred.
- 0 to 4 years of scheduling experience on large‑scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge and interest in construction planning.
- Familiarity with multi‑family and/or commercial construction projects preferred.
- Technology savvy, familiar with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong team player who can handle multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to remain focused in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently while engaging internal project members, trade partners, and owners.
