Construction Intern | Plug-in Studios The Tone:

This is an internship at Plug-in Studios, located in Atlanta, GA. The internship supports Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit affordable home ownership affiliate dedicated to partnering with families and neighborhood residents to build homes and revitalize communities within Atlanta and South Fulton. This role is crucial for assisting the construction team in building single-family houses from start to finish, directly contributing to the organization’s mission of providing affordable home ownership.

    Acquire practical skills in various aspects of carpentry and general construction techniques.
  • Learn:
    Understand construction plans, safety protocols, and effective project management practices for building projects.
  • Orient:
    Attend New Hire Orientation to grasp the overall concept of the company and the specific goals of the construction team.
The Must-Haves
  • Background:
    Entry-level. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience:

    No specific years of experience are required, but proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software is essential.
  • Skills:

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
