Assistant Superintendent – Affordable Housing Construction

Summary of Position

As Assistant Superintendent in our affordable housing division, you'll support the execution of construction projects. Work closely with the Project Superintendent and team to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project completion. This role provides an opportunity to impact communities by delivering affordable housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and Coordinate:
    Assist in developing construction plans and schedules, working with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Site Management:
    Oversee site operations, ensuring subcontractors and workers adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections to meet specifications and standards.
  • Resource Management:
    Handle procurement, delivery of materials, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Financial Oversight:
    Track expenditures and assist in financial reporting to maintain budget control.
  • Communication:
    Facilitate clear team communication and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Problem Solving:
    Support timely resolution of construction issues with strategic decision-making.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to building codes, permits, and regulations while maintaining documentation.
  • Community Engagement:
    Work with local authorities and community groups to address concerns and highlight housing benefits.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Multifamily construction, preferably in affordable housing.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
