Estimator - Construction Atlanta, GA Full-Time On-Site
We are a leading general contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality multi-family communities and commercial projects throughout the Southeast. With a robust pipeline in the Atlanta market, we are expanding our preconstruction team and looking for a detail-oriented estimator to help drive successful project outcomes from the earliest stages. The estimator will play a critical role in the preconstruction process, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for ground up multi-family and commercial projects.
This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure budgets are aligned with project goals and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for multi-family and commercial construction projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate budgets
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving strategies
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical project data
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients during preconstruction
- Assist in bid packaging, scope definition, and subcontractor leveling
- Support project handoff to operations team upon award
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
- 3+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
- Experience estimating ground up commercial and multi-family projects
- Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and methods
- Proficiency in estimating software (On Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar)
