Senior Estimator

We are a highly respected and long standing general contractor in the Southeast is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Atlanta preconstruction team. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction estimator who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to play a critical role in delivering complex, high quality projects. As a Senior Estimator, you will take ownership of the estimating process from early conceptual budgets through final GMP and hard bid proposals.

You'll partner closely with preconstruction, operations, and business development teams to develop accurate, competitive pricing and strategic bid approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for projects from conceptual through final pricing
• Develop and review budgets, value engineering options, and risk assessments
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
• Maintain strong subcontractor relationships and participate in scope reviews
• Collaborate with project teams to transition estimates into active projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, schedules, and site conditions
• Support pursuit strategy, bid day execution, and post-bid reviews
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous process improvement

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience with a general contractor
• Strong background in multifamily or large commercial construction
• Proven success leading estimates on complex projects
• Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam, Timberline, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documents
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
