Senior Bridge Inspector

This role will be responsible for supporting bridge and roadway construction inspection, materials sampling, inspection and testing on projects throughout Georgia. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience working on DOT projects and experience managing CEI projects and supervising inspectors.

• Monitor, inspect and document daily construction activities to verify compliance with project plans and quality standards.
• Adhere to established inspection procedures, perform accurate calculations and maintain effective working relationships with project teams, clients and contractors.
• Conduct inspections of grading, asphalt paving, concrete placement, utility inspection, subgrade materials and other roadway and bridge construction activities.
• Document findings and contribute to creating detailed inspection reports.
• Review inspection data and reports to ensure accuracy.

• Minimum high school diploma required. BS in civil engineering, civil engineering technology or construction management preferred.
• 10+ years of experience providing construction engineering inspection services.
• Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Site Manager.
• Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment.

• 10 Hour OSHA Construction Safety.
• GDOT Field Concrete Technician.
• GDOT Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor.
• GSWCC Level 1a.

• GDOT HMA Certified Roadway Technician.
• GDOT Asphalt Plant Technician.
• GDOT Certified Concrete Technician or ACI Grade 1.
• GDOT Hazardous Materials or APGNA Nuclear Gauge Safety or equivalent.
• GDOT Soils and Aggregate Technician or equivalent.
• Can be obtained once employed at TTL.
