Role DescriptionThe Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on residential construction and renovation projects. This role coordinates subcontractors, vendors, and on-site staff to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. The Superintendent monitors job progress, manages inspections, enforces site safety protocols, and resolves day-to-day issues that may impact timelines or budgets.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed project documentation, communicating regularly with project managers and clients, and ensuring that work complies with plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Experience supervising residential construction projects, including custom homes and renovations, with strong on-site leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and inspection processes relevant to residential projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple trades and tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Commitment to jobsite safety, including experience implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with construction management software, digital documentation tools, and basic office applications.
- Prior Superintendent or foreperson experience in high-end residential construction preferred; relevant certifications or vocational training in construction management are beneficial.
