Senior Construction Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Construction Project Manager based in the United States. This role sits at the center of large-scale mission-critical infrastructure delivery, leading the construction of hyperscale data centers that power global digital services. You will oversee end-to-end project execution, from early design and permitting through construction, commissioning, and final handover.

The position combines hands-on site leadership with strategic coordination across engineering, procurement, operations, and external vendors. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence across highly complex builds. Working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment, you will manage contractors, design teams, and technical partners to deliver resilient, high-performance facilities. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong technical depth in MEP systems and mission-critical construction.

The role is onsite-based in the Atlanta metro area with full-time presence required at the Hampton, GA site.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the full lifecycle delivery of hyperscale data center construction projects, ensuring alignment across safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.

  • Direct end-to-end project execution from concept and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handover
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with building codes, industry standards, and internal governance requirements
  • Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, contracts, and risk registers to maintain financial and operational control
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders (design, procurement, operations, IT/network, security) and external vendors (GCs, A&E firms, commissioning agents, suppliers)
  • Engage with local authorities, utilities, and regulatory bodies to secure approvals and maintain compliance
  • Drive safety-first culture and ensure high standards of quality across all construction activities
  • Lead project reporting, performance tracking, and lessons-learned processes to improve future delivery
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong experience delivering complex, mission-critical construction projects, with deep technical and leadership capabilities.

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience in data centers, pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar critical environments
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems design, installation, integration, and commissioning in mission-critical facilities
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale construction budgets, contracts, procurement strategies, and project schedules
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners across highly complex project ecosystems
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, permitting processes, and engagement with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, P6, Smartsheet, or Blue Beam is preferred
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with a strong safety and quality mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience
