Federal Client Manager – Cape Fox subsidiary Mountain Point
Responsible for day‑to‑day project management of federal construction projects in the Gulf Coast Region, including planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring all project activities and milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control assigned construction projects from start to finish.
- Provide senior management of projects, personnel and clients with focus on project management, personnel management/mentoring, and business development.
- Ensure accurate completion of all work products with proper quality control and assurance measures in place.
- Oversee and manage self‑perform projects and subcontractor work, ensuring compliance with contract documents, safety rules and quality/security requirements.
- Act as the direct liaison with the Government Contracting Official on‑site.
- Manage financial performance relative to project‑specific budgets.
- Support management of the Contractor Health and Safety Program.
25 % – 50 % travel within the Southern United States.
Job Requirements- 10+ years of hands‑on experience as a Project Manager in federal facility construction.
- Completed 30‑Hour OSHA Construction Course.
- Completed 40‑Hour EM 385‑1‑1 Certified Site Safety & Health Course (desired).
- Ability to manage subordinate managers and professionals.
- Proven skills to identify onsite construction hazards and recommend/implement elimination, mitigation or controls.
- Knowledge of construction equipment, methods, and processes and incorporation of best safe practices.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results.
- Long hours and weekends may be required.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel to company work sites as needed.
- Proficient in Resident Management System (RMS).
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. - Authorization to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Sit or stand throughout a regular workday.
- Able to work on a computer for long periods.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry (preferably heavy civil) as a Project Manager.
- Eight (8) years of federal project experience.
- Five (5) years in supervising/ managing civil and/or construction projects.
- Knowledgeable with EM 385‑1‑1 Corps of Engineers Safety and Occupational Health Requirements Manual (March 2024).
- Bachelor’s degree in construction related or engineering field.
- Professional registration in engineering desired.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of standard software:
Primavera (P6), RMS, RSMeans, Microsoft Word, Project, Excel. - Experience managing IDIQ/Task order projects highly desired.
- Knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, and engineering principles.
- Familiar with construction methods, materials, installation procedures and tolerances.
- 30‑Hour OSHA Construction Training Program.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors.
