Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Atlanta, GA

Industry: Commercial General Contracting

Travel: Local project site travel required

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will come from a general contracting background with experience managing commercial construction projects, preferably within retail, big-box retail, industrial, or other large-scale commercial sectors
. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage project teams, subcontractors, owners, and stakeholders while driving projects to successful completion.

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects concurrently from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Oversee project budgets ranging from $5M–$50M+ while maintaining cost control and profitability objectives.
• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are achieved.
• Lead project teams, including Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, procurement activities, and subcontractor agreements.
• Coordinate with field operations teams to ensure project execution aligns with budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
• Lead project meetings, owner meetings, and internal reporting processes.
• Monitor project financials, forecasting, billing, and overall project performance.
• Support business development efforts and help foster long-term client relationships.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a General Contractor.
• Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong background in commercial construction, with experience in retail, big-box retail, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse/distribution
  , or similar project types.
• Demonstrated success managing multimillion-dollar projects and budgets ranging from $5M–$50M+.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, procurement, and project controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong financial acumen and project budgeting experience.
