Occupational Health & Safety, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
The Safety Manager is responsible for managing the development and consistent implementation of safety, security, and environmental compliance programs.
Responsibilities- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards
- Organize and lead safety training sessions for construction staff
- Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future
- Assist coordinator(s) in document control and development.
- Oversee all aspects of a construction project ensuring OSHA compliance.
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
- Update corporate and site specific EHS dashboards.
- Oversee all EHS metrics and send out reports on a routine basis.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- 5+ years of direct construction safety experience, preferred
- General Contractor experience, preferred
- OSHA 510 and/or 500, a plus
- CHST or CSP, preferred
- Thorough understanding of all relevant safety rules and regulations
- Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to achieve long term vision while adjusting to daily challenges.
- Ability to challenge, explain, and defend safety programs with diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach and train others.
