Construction Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of commercial construction projects from initiation to closeout.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Review contracts, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Lead project meetings, including progress updates, coordination, and client communications.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• Identify risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Approve invoices, manage procurement, and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, and correspondence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and strong relationships.
• Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation handoff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8–10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control.
• Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing large-scale commercial projects (e.g., office buildings, aviation, industrial).
• Familiarity with LEED or sustainable construction practices.
• OSHA certification or strong safety management background.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
