Concrete Carpenter

Role Description This is a full-time Concrete Carpenter role based on-site in Atlanta, GA. The Concrete Carpenter will build, install, and dismantle concrete formwork for foundations, walls, slabs, curbs, and other structural elements. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting construction drawings, measuring and cutting materials, assembling forms, placing reinforcement, and assisting with concrete placement and finishing. The role involves using hand and power tools, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and coordinating with site supervisors, equipment operators, and other trades to meet project schedules.

The Concrete Carpenter is expected to follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and project specifications at all times.
Qualifications

• Experience in concrete carpentry, including formwork construction, layout, and installation for foundations, walls, and slabs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications, with accurate measuring and layout skills.
• Proficiency in using carpentry and concrete tools (e.g., saws, drills, levels, measuring tools) and working safely around heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of concrete placement and finishing practices, including reinforcing steel placement and basic understanding of mix behaviour.
• Strong awareness of construction site safety practices, including PPE use, hazard recognition, and adherence to company safety policies.
• Reliable attendance, ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and capability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods).
• Previous experience in heavy civil or highway construction environments is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; relevant trade or apprenticeship training in carpentry or concrete work is a plus.
