Senior Director of Operations (with Estimating) FGA Roofing Inc. | Greater Atlanta, GA

Salary: $70,000 to $110,000 (depending on experience), plus yearly performance bonus potential

As Senior Director of Operations, you'll own how the work gets done, from the schedule to the field to the numbers. That means:

• Leading day-to-day operations across active commercial roofing projects, keeping crews, schedules, and materials aligned so jobs finish on time and on budget
• Managing and mentoring project managers, crew leads, and field staff, and holding the whole operation to FGA's standard for quality and safety
• Owning estimating when needed: performing takeoffs and preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and translating them into competitive, profitable bids and workable job plans
• Conducting site visits and roof surveys to assess existing conditions, systems, and scope
• Building complete bid packages and proposals in response to RFPs and invitations to bid, and handing them off cleanly to the field
• Coordinating vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to keep pricing accurate, timelines realistic, and material on site when crews need it
• Tracking job costs, bid outcomes, and crew productivity, and using what you learn to refine pricing and process as we grow

• Experience managing commercial roofing operations or field crews, ideally with a track record of running multiple jobs at once
• Estimating experience in commercial roofing, or in estimating and quoting at a roofing distribution company (we value both, so if you know roofing systems and pricing, we want to talk)
• Strong working knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, built-up, metal, and more)
• Ability to read and take off construction drawings and specifications accurately
• Comfort with estimating and takeoff software and with tools for scheduling and job tracking
• Proven leadership: you can direct a crew, hold people accountable, and keep a calm hand when a job gets complicated
• Sharp attention to detail, strong math, and clear communication
• Self-motivated and organized, able to juggle multiple projects and bids without letting anything slip
