Build the Future of Safety.

Lead Safety. Influence Strategy. Protect People.

Safety is not just part of what we do—it defines how we do it. For more than 70 years, Superior Rigging & Erecting has delivered complex crane, rigging, steel erection, heavy transportation, and specialty construction solutions where precision, planning, and disciplined execution are critical to success. Our customers trust us with projects that demand exceptional technical expertise, and our employees trust us to ensure they return home safely every day.

We are looking for an experienced Director of Safety to help lead the next chapter of our company. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, you will serve as the senior safety leader for the organization—partnering with executive leadership, operations, project management, and field teams to strengthen safety performance, reduce organizational risk, and build scalable systems that support long-term growth.

If you are looking for an opportunity to influence strategy, mentor future leaders, and leave a lasting impact on a growing organization, we would like to talk.

  • Conduct executive-level safety reviews, audits, and operational assessments.
  • Lead investigations involving serious incidents, near misses, and high-potential events.
  • Drive root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and develop safety professionals while fostering a culture of ownership, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Requirements

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
  • 10+ years of progressive construction safety leadership experience
  • Experience leading safety programs across multiple projects, locations, or business units
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926)
  • Experience leading incident investigations and root cause analysis programs
  • Experience partnering directly with executive and operational leadership teams
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel regularly to project sites and operational locations
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 500 Construction Outreach Trainer
