Location: Southeastern United States (Primarily Georgia) – Travel Required

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and project location.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support heavy civil construction and infrastructure projects throughout the Southeastern United States (primarily Georgia). This role provides technical and project management support during the planning, design, and execution of civil construction projects. The ideal candidate is willing to travel to project sites as needed and occasionally work from the regional office.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and execution of project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and project assessments.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Partner with Quality Control personnel to ensure adherence to project quality requirements.
- Track and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, REAs, CORs, and CTCs.
- Support project reporting, scheduling, and cost tracking.
- Maintain compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting or managing heavy civil construction and/or public infrastructure projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secure facilities, including military installations.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience performing quality control functions on heavy civil construction projects.
- Quality-related certifications are a plus.
- Experience on USACE and/or NAVFAC projects is highly preferred.
- Experience with DOT, industrial, or power plant construction projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related engineering software.
- Experience managing construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, REAs, CORs, and CTCs.

- Regular travel to project sites throughout the Southeastern U.S. based on project requirements.
