Senior Estimator

Client: Established commercial General Contractor specializing in light industrial, retail, medical, and office construction.

• Manage estimating activities for commercial projects from initial review through final bid submission.
• Prepare detailed budgets and cost plans using project drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate subcontractor outreach and evaluate trade partner proposals.
• Work with operations and project teams to confirm scope, pricing, and project strategy.
• Identify cost savings, scope gaps, and potential project risks.
• Present estimates and recommendations to company leadership.
• Track current pricing and use historical project data to improve accuracy.
• Support the development of junior estimating team members.

• 7+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
• Previous experience working for a General Contractor preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction systems, trade scopes, and pricing.
• Experience managing estimates from early budgeting through final submission.
• Confident reviewing drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals.
• Proficiency with commonly used estimating and takeoff platforms.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Construction-related degree preferred but not required.
