About this opportunity

Gleeds is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in engineering and construction to play a key role in delivering a high-volume portfolio of natural gas infrastructure projects.

In this programmatic role, you’ll help coordinate the delivery of approximately 100 natural gas station improvement and replacement projects each year
, working closely with track leads, engineering teams, construction teams and clients to keep projects moving from initial scoping through detailed design and into construction
.

You’ll take ownership of project coordination and delivery, ensuring key activities and prerequisites are completed on schedule, identifying potential risks and delays, and providing clear updates to management so issues can be addressed quickly. You’ll also work closely with construction teams to confirm project completion and ensure a smooth handover.

This is a great opportunity for a highly organized, proactive Project Manager who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and building strong relationships with clients and project teams. Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills will be essential to your success.

Candidates are required to have experience and/or high working knowledge in the following areas:
General Management:
  • Developing innovative solutions
  • Management of large datasets to help manage the high volume of projects executed per year
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation to show project progress
  • Creating and maintaining reporting of project progress to management
Scoping:
  • Working with the project team to understand project intricacies
  • Develop prioritization of projects and determine the correct volume of projects to design per year to support potential of projects being halted
Controls:
Scheduling-
  • Adopt / create systematic approaches to executing high volume of projects
  • Tracking project resource availability
  • Understanding project lifecycle so that input from meetings can be interpreted and incorporated to execution timelines and communicated to the team
Risk-
  • Managing project risks and minimizing Owner's exposure
  • Facilitating the resolution of all project issues
Execution:
  • Ensuring project team members are providing deliverables on time
  • Addressing issues as they arise, calling ad hoc team meetings, vetting solutions and driving resolution
  • Maintain daily interactions with project teams and management
  • Manage clear and consistent communication with project stakeholders
  • Compile monthly reporting and presenting project progress to management
Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

  • Linear construction experience is advantageous, Energy & Natural gas experience preferred
  • 3 plus years of project management experience
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Smart Sheet experience is a plus
  • Thoroughly understands and utilizes Information Technology in the performance of their work including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Project Management, Construction Management or related Engineering Field or equivalent industry experience
