Case-Mate creates bold, fashion-forward accessories for the tech people use every day. Our work moves quickly from idea to launch, and we care just as much about the details behind the scenes as the final product customers see. We are looking for a Creative Services Manager who can bring structure to the creative process without squeezing the creativity out of it.
TheJob
Our creative team has plenty of ideas and no shortage of work. This role makes sure the right projects reach the right people, priorities stay clear, deadlines stay real, and strong work makes it across the finish line. You will lead the people and process behind photography, video, graphic design, copywriting, product imagery, sales materials, and tradeshow support.
You will be the team's coach, traffic controller, and quality check. You should know great creative when you see it and be able to explain how to make it better. This is primarily a leadership and workflow role. You will stay close to the work and step in when the business needs you, but you will not become the department's default designer.
Key Responsibilities- Own creative intake, prioritization, resource planning, scheduling, and delivery across a high-volume pipeline of launches, campaigns, retailer requests, e-commerce content, sales materials, and internal projects.
- Translate briefs and business priorities into clear scopes, assignments, milestones, owners, and approval paths.
- Maintain visibility into team capacity, workload, risks, and deadlines; surface conflicts early and recommend practical tradeoffs when demand exceeds available resources.
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary creative team spanning photography and video, graphic design, copywriting, product imagery, and sales and tradeshow creative.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide timely feedback, and hold team members accountable for quality, accuracy, responsiveness, and follow-through.
- Review work for brand consistency, technical accuracy, audience fit, and readiness before it moves to final approval or distribution.
- Partner with Marketing, Product Development, Sales, E-commerce, and other stakeholders to clarify needs, manage revisions, and keep work moving without unnecessary rework.
- Build and improve creative workflows, templates, file standards, approval practices, and project-management routines that increase speed and reduce missed details.
- Coordinate outside freelancers, agencies, and production partners as needed, including scopes, timelines, feedback, and deliverable quality.
- Protect the integrity and organization of creative assets by reinforcing naming conventions, version control, usage rights, and archival standards.
- Use workload and delivery data to identify bottlenecks, recurring delays, and opportunities to improve team performance.
- Stay close enough to the work to provide informed creative direction and step into hands-on execution when an urgent or high-priority need requires it.
- The team knows what matters now, what comes next, and who owns each deliverable.
- Creative work moves faster because briefs, deadlines, reviews, and approvals are clear from the start.
- Stakeholders can see project status and risks without chasing the creative team for updates.
- The work looks like Case-Mate, meets the requirements of each channel, and arrives ready to use.
- Team members receive useful direction and real accountability while still owning their work.
- Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience in creative services, design operations, brand production, or a related field, including at least three years leading creative professionals.
- Experience managing high-volume creative work for consumer products, retail, e-commerce, or another deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams, set priorities, allocate resources, and drive projects through final delivery.
- Strong creative judgment with the ability to give clear, useful feedback across design, photography, video, copy, and product imagery.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and the production requirements for digital, print, retail, and e-commerce assets.
- Experience with project-management or creative-operations platforms and disciplined use of schedules, status tracking, and approval workflows.
- Clear communication, sound judgment, and the confidence to resolve competing priorities with senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related discipline preferred;…
