Panther Dining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a
Customer Services Specialist I.

This position is responsible for greeting and acknowledging customers, maintains outstanding solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service standards. This position may require you to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as to supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Attentive to guest needs; communicates customer request to management.
- Accurately and efficiently utilizes POS systems and maintains all cash and media at the registers.
- Maintains awareness of daily menu items and knowledge of meal plans.
- Counts and reconciles funds during shifts to ensure adequate funds.
- Restocks assigned supplies and brochures.
- Accurately records patron counts.
- Maintains neat appearance at the registers and in the front of house areas.
- Keeps beverage machines, napkins holders, silverware, plates, bowls, and cups filled and maintained.
- Helps keep table and service areas clean.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service, administrative, or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Physical Requirements:
Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders. - Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
