We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team.
Position OverviewThe Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during a variety of general dental procedures and help ensure a comfortable experience for every patient. This role includes clinical assistance, patient education, sterilization, and constant communication with front-office.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and prepare patients for treatment in a warm and friendly manner.
- Assist the dentist during general dental procedures (fillings, crowns, cleanings, extractions, etc.).
- Take and process dental X-rays (must be certified if required by the state).
- Set up and break down operatories, ensuring sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Record patient medical histories, treatment information, and charting accurately.
- Manage suction devices and provide comfort to patients during procedures.
- Support front office tasks, including scheduling and patient check-in/check-out, as needed.
- Dental Assistant certification preferred not required
- Current X-ray certification
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- At least one year of previous experience in general dentistry preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
