Overview

The Dentist provides routine dental care and treatment in coordination with patients and designated individuals, working with clinical and administrative staff across departments to deliver dental services in alignment with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications
  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Unrestricted Georgia dental license
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current CPR/BLS certification for healthcare providers
  • Experience in dental practice settings such as primary care, outpatient clinics, or similar environments; interest in community‑based dentistry may be considered in place of direct experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Professional phone interaction skills
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in clinical and administrative tasks
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical dental services including examinations, treatment planning, oral cancer screenings, restorations, sealants, bonded procedures, extractions, limited root‑canal therapy, minor oral surgery, denture construction, and other indicated treatments.
  • Document patient status and care including procedures performed, patient response, provider orders, and coordination with other healthcare personnel.
  • Maintain follow‑up processes to ensure continuity of dental care.
  • Provide instruction on oral health practices and guidance related to treatments performed.
  • Respond to patient and staff inquiries regarding dental conditions and treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate.
  • Participate in designated dental programs as assigned.
  • Follow universal precautions and adhere to infection‑control standards.
  • Perform additional assigned duties related to dental operations and clinical needs.
