Gorman & Company is seeking a collaborative and detail-driven Project Architect to lead the design and documentation of multifamily and hospitality developments from concept through construction. This role plays a critical part in translating development vision into high-quality, buildable design solutions while coordinating closely with internal teams, consultants, and construction partners.
What You'll Do
* Lead architectural design and construction documentation for multifamily and hospitality projects from conception through construction completion.
* Coordinate project deliverables with development, construction, engineering, and consulting partners to maintain design quality and project alignment.
* Oversee building code analysis, unit layouts, specifications, and project scope development.
* Manage consultant coordination including structural, MEP, and specialty consultants, including historic and NPS-related reviews when applicable.
* Track project scope, design changes, and associated costs while supporting project budgets and schedules.
* Produce and manage construction-phase documentation including RFIs, change orders, and construction bulletins.
* Support marketing drawings and participate in project reviews to proactively identify and resolve design or constructability challenges.
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture required;
Master's degree preferred.
* Architectural license or active progress toward licensure required.
* Minimum five years of multifamily architectural design experience; affordable housing or LIHTC experience preferred.
* Strong proficiency in REVIT and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Experience working within the Atlanta market and surrounding areas preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities.
* Strong organizational skills with clear and effective communication abilities.
* Valid driver's license with ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
* Base salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 annually based on experience
* Hybrid flexibility (three days in office / two remote)
