Preservation Architect

We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have experience in historic preservation and restoration projects, as well as a strong understanding of building codes and regulations. The Preservation Architect will be responsible for managing the design, planning, and implementation of preservation projects from start to finish.

• Conduct site visits and assessments to determine the condition of historic buildings
• Develop preservation plans and proposals that comply with building codes and regulations
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and preservation experts to develop project goals and objectives
• Create detailed architectural drawings and plans for preservation projects
• Oversee the restoration process ensuring that all work is completed according to plan and within budget
• Conduct research on historic building materials and techniques to inform restoration efforts
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress
• Provide guidance and support to junior architects and interns working on preservation projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working on historic preservation projects
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and historic preservation guidelines
• Proficiency in architectural drafting software such as AutoCAD or Revit
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills
• English fluency is required for effective communication with clients

Salary: $1400 per month, depending on experience.

Atlanta, Georgia

Full‑time contract position with the possibility of extension.
