Architect / Sr. Architect, Engineering Design & Technologists, Environmental & Urban Planning
Your role as an Architect with Gensler’s team in Atlanta will support the design and delivery of complex and impactful Hospitality, Mixed Use, Residential, Critical Facilities, Retail and Workplace projects. You will bring together design excellence, technical rigor, and strategic thinking to deliver architecture that is both deeply functional and experientially rich. The team is highly collaborative, client‑focused culture that values design quality, resilience, and social purpose.
Responsibilities- Manage coordination, technical documentation, and consultant communication.
- Contribute to design leadership, oversee portions of project delivery, and mentor less experienced teammates.
- Lead coordination between project team and consultants.
- Develop and manage technical documentation ensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent.
- Support project managers with scheduling, deliverables, and milestone planning.
- Resolve technical and design challenges; propose innovative yet constructible solutions.
- Oversee sections of specifications and contribute to project manual development.
- Conduct site visits; lead submittal review, RFI responses, and construction documentation.
- Mentor emerging designers and provide technical guidance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and permitting officials.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Registered / Licensed Architect (or candidates close to licensing may contact ).
- 6–10 years of relevant experience within a commercial design firm.
- Strong proficiency with Revit.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Sketch Up, and the Adobe Suite preferred.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and systems.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to communicate technical details verbally and in writing.
- Passion for design excellence and continuous learning.
- Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practices; portfolio should include at least one project with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL, Fitwel, or Net Zero certification.
