Preservation Architect

Overview

We are in need of an experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Atlanta.

As a Preservation Architect you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures.

You must have proven experience in the field of preservation architecture and be able to work independently. English language skills are not a requirement for this position.

• Conducting on-site surveys and assessments of historic buildings and structures
• Developing preservation plans and strategies based on historical research and analysis
• Collaborating with engineers, contractors and other professionals to ensure preservation work is done accurately and safely
• Preparing detailed drawings, specifications and cost estimates for preservation projects
• Overseeing the construction process to ensure adherence to preservation standards and guidelines
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and provide guidance as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
• Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation architecture
• Knowledge of historic building materials, construction techniques and preservation best practices
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills—verbal, written and visual
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently

This position offers a competitive salary of $1300 per week.

This job is located in Atlanta, USA. However we welcome candidates from all nationalities who meet the requirements.
