The Healthcare Junior Interior Designer assumes full responsibility for project overview, monitoring and control of the project delivery process, and coordination of project design and technical teams throughout all phases of the project.
The Healthcare Junior Interior Designer is responsible for enhancing existing client relationships along with supporting project principals in developing new client and industry partners.
Responsibilities for a Healthcare Junior Interior Designer include:- Support the design team in the development of healthcare interior design projects from programming through project completion
- Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, finish selections, and design documentation
- Participate in client meetings, programming sessions, and project workshops
- Prepare presentation materials, renderings, mood boards, and design concepts
- Research materials, products, furnishings, and healthcare design best practices
- Develop project drawings, specifications, and Revit models under the direction of senior team members
- Coordinate design information with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors
- Assist with field verification, site visits, and construction administration activities
- Support the preparation of project deliverables while maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Apply healthcare design standards, accessibility requirements, and applicable codes to project work
- Organize and maintain project files, finish libraries, and design resources
- Collaborate effectively with project teams and contribute to a positive studio culture
- Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
- Support senior designers and project managers in meeting project schedules and client expectations
- Minimum of Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design (from FIDER accredited institution)
- 2-5 years design-oriented experience in architectural or interior design firm
- 1+ year of Healthcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of architecture and/or interior design planning, technical detailing, and construction
- Excellent verbal and written communications and organizational skills
- Proficient in REVIT – rendering skills a plus
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
