The PROJECT MANAGERS AND PROJECT ARCHITECTS – RETAIL/COMMERCIAL role is a full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities include overseeing design and construction projects for retail and commercial interiors from initial planning through final delivery, coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors, and ensuring project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Prepare and review drawings and specifications.
- Manage schedules and procurement; monitor site progress.
- Address design or construction issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular project meetings and maintain detailed documentation.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and applicable codes.
- Collaborate with designers and leadership to deliver cohesive interiors that reflect client requirements and brand standards.
- Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of retail/commercial interior projects.
- Expeditor and expediting experience to manage materials ordering, procurement, and timely deliveries.
- Inspection capabilities to review construction and installations for quality, accuracy, and code compliance.
- Logistics management skills to oversee warehousing, shipping, installation sequences, and overall project flow.
- Background in interior architecture or design, with experience in multifamily, hospitality, or commercial environments.
- Proficiency with design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and strong technical drawing review skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities for working with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field; professional licensure or certification is a plus.
- Experience with building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes relevant to retail and commercial projects.
