This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early‑career Interior Designer looking to build a strong foundation in commercial design while working alongside experienced architects and designers in a collaborative studio environment.
Position OverviewThe Interior Designer will support the design team through all phases of commercial interior projects, including concept development, space planning, design documentation, consultant coordination, and construction administration. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects while providing opportunities for professional growth and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities Design & Project Support- Assist with the development of design concepts, presentations, and material selections for commercial interior projects.
- Support project teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction.
- Produce space plans, interior layouts, and design presentations.
- Develop 3D models, renderings, and visual presentations for client meetings.
- Prepare construction documents and drawing sets using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation and ensuring drawing accuracy.
- Coordinate revisions throughout the design process.
- Help maintain project standards and quality control.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design consultants.
- Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and site visits as needed.
- Track project milestones and assist the team in meeting established deadlines.
- Support construction administration activities and respond to project‑related documentation requests.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, interior design, graphics, and other consultants.
- Contribute creative ideas while collaborating in a team‑oriented studio environment.
- Manage multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail and organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture required.
- 2–4+ years of professional experience in commercial interior design or architecture.
- Internship experience within a design or architecture firm is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch Up.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Ability to create 3D renderings and presentation materials.
- Understanding of construction documentation and design detailing.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to travel locally to project sites and client meetings as needed.
- Exposure to a wide variety of commercial and corporate projects.
