Position Summary:
The position is in the Federal Buildings Business Unit, primarily working on US Federal Government facilities. As an Interior Designer, you’ll provide programming, space planning, furniture layout and design, furniture specifications, interior finish selections, specifications, and presentations to clients. You’ll compile, create, and specify full SID and CID packages for FF&E documentation and procurement, produce construction drawings and documentation for furniture and interior design, coordinate furniture and space planning, and collaborate with manufacturer representatives.
You will work under the direction of the Federal Southeast Interior Design Group Lead.
- Provide programming, space planning, furniture layout, and interior design deliverables for federal projects.
- Prepare and specify SID and CID packages, FF&E documentation, and procurement specifications.
- Create construction drawings and documents for furniture and interior design.
- Coordinate with manufacturer representatives and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with design standards, building codes, ADA requirements, and LEED sustainability criteria.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- College degree in Interior Design from a CIDA‑accredited program.
- At least 5 years of experience in a commercial design environment.
- Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch‑Up, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and Photoshop.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and LEED sustainability.
- Ability to travel as necessary; some overseas travel possible.
- Ambition to take the NCIDQ exam.
Base salary range: $75,300.00 to $.
