Interior Design Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Project Manager with 6+ years of professional design experience to lead projects across higher education, civic/justice, community‑focused environments, and municipal facilities. The ideal candidate brings strong project leadership, the ability to manage work from concept through construction, and a passion for creating functional, human‑centered spaces. Experience mentoring junior designers is highly valued.

• Manage interior design projects from programming and schematic design through construction administration
• Lead client communication, presentations, and ongoing coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants
• Develop design concepts, space plans, finish palettes, FF&E packages, and detailed documentation
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and quality control
• Conduct site visits, review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction‑phase decisions
• Guide and mentor junior designers, supporting their technical and professional development
• Ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and project requirements
• Contribute to a collaborative studio culture and support continuous improvement of design processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• 6+ years of interior design experience, ideally with project management responsibilities
• Experience in higher education, civic/justice, municipal, or community‑centered projects
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication, organization, and client‑facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth
