Role Overview

As a director of architecture, you will report directly to the Principal Architect and lead a team of architects to produce and manage projects from design through construction. You will be working directly with clients and sub-consultants in the areas of education, healthcare, municipal, industrial and other challenging market sectors. You will be involved in business development to bring on new projects.

Core

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop projects from inception, including design and presentation materials.
  • Lead and manage the design and execution of complex architectural projects including commercial, municipal, and industrial buildings
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and documentation using advanced design tools and software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to define project requirements, develop design solutions, and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
  • Manage project proposals, budgets, schedules and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Develop Plans and Specifications suitable for Permitting, Bidding and Construction.
  • Ensure Plans and Specifications are coordinated.
  • Serve as primary point of contact and project liaison to assist with the resolution of construction issues and conduct site observations
  • Perform Construction Administration including site visits, jobsite meetings, field reports and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and other appropriate employees.
  • BS in Architecture
  • Architectural registration, or path to licensure
  • Proficiency in Revit
Preferred Skills
  • Advanced leadership skills as either a technical leader and/or project manager of complex projects
  • Experience working with a team of engineers
  • Self motivated
