We are seeking top Design Students or Recent Graduates to participate in our In Home Design Internship program at Havertys furniture.

As a Havertys Interior Design intern you will:

• Work with our Store Manager and Interior Designer
• Learn the Havertys In Home Design Room Creation process in Real Life situations by:
• Converting measured rooms into complete, precise, detailed room plans.
• Using "Loft", to create complete designs with pre-set rooms.
• Reviewing HD Presentation process. (Homework: take photos of rooms at home)
• Uploading homework photos to client profiles, creating design rooms.
• Observing measure with HD.
• Look up furniture availability and create special orders for our customers design requests
• Prep for observed measure by selecting product, creating 2d, 3d loft models
• Set up presentation area and present your plan to the HD/Manager.
• Review observation form and receive feedback from the HD/Manager.
• You will gain a clear understanding of the Havertys In Home Design processes (measure, prep, and presentation)

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• Interior design degree from an accredited college or university; or relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in interior design
• Positive and engaging personality
• Creative flare and energetic attitude
• Familiarity with a broad range of furniture styles and products preferred, but not required
• Computer proficiency including email experience required; knowledge and use of Office 365 software preferred;
  Tablet/iPad operation abilities strongly preferred
• Relevant experience and interest, preferred but not required
