Preservation Architect

A reputable architecture firm in Atlanta is seeking a Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historically significant buildings and structures. This is a contract position with a salary of $1100 per week.

• Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in preservation architecture
• Knowledge of local and national historic preservation laws and guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Conducting site visits to assess the condition of historic buildings and structures
• Developing preservation plans and proposals for restoration projects
• Collaborating with engineers contractors and other professionals to develop restoration strategies
• Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for restoration projects
• Managing project budgets, timelines and resources effectively
• Providing guidance and expertise on historic preservation techniques to clients and team members
