Position Title:
Architectural Solutions Project Designer
Department:Architectural Solutions
FLSA Classification:Salaried, Exempt
Reports to:Director of Architectural Solutions
Positions Supervised:None
Position Overview:Responsible for providing quality design work to clients in a timely manner, and within budget, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. This is a client facing design position that will have the opportunity to cross-train in project management and be expected to work toward a successful team experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage adherence to project schedule, internal budget, customer’s project
- budget, design task completions, and quality of design work.
- Ensure complete and accurate transmittal of project planning data to order entry
- along with project management assist.
- Understand Local building codes, ADA regulations, National Electrical Code, etc.
- Understand architectural product, including order preparation, project
- management, order management, and delivery/installation.
- Manage changes and revisions with costs in mind.
- Strong personal leadership abilities including meeting management, facilitation,
- negotiation, conflict resolution, collaboration and prioritization
- Execute drawings and pricing utilizing DIRTT software ICE
- Experience with Architectural Construction detailing and coordinating MEP
- consultants.
- Other duties as assigned
- BS, BA or BFA degree in interior design, architecture Required
- Proficiency in Revit, CAD, MS Project, and Procore Required
- Additional experience in design-build process and offsite construction methods
- Advanced communication abilities, both verbal and written Required
- Understand construction documents Required
- Demonstrate strong communication skills Required
- Attention to detail, and strong organizational skills Required
- Proven sales ability with knowledge of business practices Preferred
- Experience in Prefab Software ICE- DIRTT Environmental Solutions
