Position: Student Education Outreach Team Member (Work Study)
These positions will support crucial components of our strategic partnerships with local partners and assist with developing professional competencies for education studies majors. The partnerships require student support for academic outreach in local public schools and community centers. Participants will also complete volunteer hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Morehouse Education Department seeks (3) students to participate in the work study program. Student Education Outreach Team Members to work 10 hours weekly to develop and implement K12 Education outreach programming with our community partners.

The Student Education Outreach Team Members will report to the Director of Teacher Education and Education Department Chair to plan and execute education outreach such as reading to local children, support STEM outreach events at the John Hope Envision Center and Fernbank Science Center. Essential duties of this position will include but are not limited to: planning and organizing outreach materials, supporting and implementing education outreach events, collecting and organizing images and video from outreach events, and other duties as assigned.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office software.

Specific Qualifications

Student Education Outreach Team Member (Work Study) will collaborate with Director of Teacher Education and Education Department Chair to ensure efficient office operations and contribute to the overall success of the Education Department.
