The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant, Athletic Administration - Sports Information on the Dahlonega campus. This position will assist with athletic communications and broadcasts for the Athletic Department. This position will include a tuition waiver.
Responsibilities- Assist with all aspects of live statistics for all 13 intercollegiate sports.
- Support media relations efforts including scheduling, interviewing and post-production.
- Assist in the historical archives (rosters, statistics, records) for all 13 intercollegiate sports.
- Write and edit various communications materials, such as student-athlete bios, press releases, and/or feature stories for the department
¿ s website. - Assist in the scheduling, training, and leading of the student work staff on game days.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications, Athletics
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is recommended
- Must currently have, or will obtain by the start date a Bachelor's Degree.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate credit hours by start date.
- Willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification required.
- Former NCAA athlete or experience in college athletics is preferred.
- Previous experience working with video streaming, statistic software. new media and written media preferred.
