Job SummaryThe Work Study Student will support the Department of Art on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12‑consecutive month period.

Employment is contingent upon funding.
Responsibilities- Open and close the art gallery as needed
- Assist with exhibition installation and deinstallation
- Distribute exhibition materials (posters)
- Provide setup and maintenance for receptions
- Maintain the art galleries
- Provide customer service to gallery visitors
- Up to 12 hours per week
- Flexible schedule availability
- Shifts will be determined and agreed upon by the student and the gallery director according to the student's class schedule and availability during normal hours of gallery operation, Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 7 PM.
- The gallery assistant is expected to help with gallery receptions that occur for gallery exhibits, usually once a month. The reception hours are 5 PM - 7 PM.
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Required Qualifications
- Must be Federal Work eligible.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with small power tools
- Experience handling and hanging art
$12.00 per hour
This is a non‑exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
