Job SummaryThe Student Assistant will support the TRIO/Student Support Services as a Student Tutor on the Armstrong and Liberty Campuses beginning Spring 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities- Assists students by answering subject specific questions and in identifying and overcoming problems
- Works with students to improve problem solving skills
- Assists TRIO participants with class assignments
- Up to 8 hours per week
- Flexible with schedule of availability
- Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Educational Requirements
- Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Preferred Education
- Successful completion of one or more of the following courses, or equivalent courses, with a grade of B or better:
- MATH 1111 (College Algebra)
- MATH 1112 (College Trigonometry)
- MATH 1441 (Calculus I)
- MATH 2242 (Calculus II)
- MATH 2130 (Discrete Mathematics)
- MATH 2160 (Linear Algebra)

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
