Start your career in public serviceThe Child Welfare Unit Administrator/Academy Director is responsible for the coordination and managing of trainers for the Child Welfare Training and Professional Development team. This position reports directly to the Deputy Director of Training and Professional Development for Child Welfare. It is located at 47 Trinity Avenue in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

Directs and coordinates functional/technical training strategy for an agency. Ensures standards are met for endto-end learning and development. Oversees training and learning outcomes in relation to functional and/or technical training activities. May design, develop and deliver training as needed. Directs subordinate managers and staff.
Job Responsibilities- Direct Supervision of three training managers who each oversee a unit of Social Services Training Development Specialist
- Supervision of the Social Services Registrar
- Development and maintenance of scheduling of all child welfare training
- Maintenance of IOTIS LMS registration and transcripts
- Ensures Quality Training Delivery
- Ensures training staff are professional and responsive to the needs of participants.
- Ensures training content is delivered both professionally and to fidelity of curriculum.
- Development of Training and Professional Development staff
- Coordination and oversight of training facilities
- Travel and leave approval
- Coordination and classroom training materials
- Collaboration with the field to assure availability of training meet the needs of the field
- Develop and oversee the training schedule for child welfare staff through collaboration with TPD staff, the field, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of program management or supervisory experience to include demonstrated advance level knowledge of project management and policy development/interpretation.

An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
