The department specializes in programs that educate children (Birth‑12) and families from various linguistic, cultural, and economic backgrounds. ECE faculty are recognized at local, state, national, and international levels for transformative, impactful, cutting‑edge teaching and research on innovative pedagogical practices, interdisciplinary and global learning, educator well‑being and curriculum with real‑world applications.

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part‑time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education for the academic year 2025‑2026. These positions are on an as needed, semester‑by‑semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities could include any of the following:

• Supervising elementary student teachers in local schools during their Yearlong Clinical Experience.
• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in elementary or early childhood education.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

To teach undergraduate courses or supervise undergraduate students:

• A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.

To teach graduate courses or supervise graduate students:

• A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.

• Three or more years as a lead teacher in a PK‑5 classroom in Georgia.
• Experience as a teacher mentor or coach.
• Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
• Experience teaching undergraduate education courses.
