OUR MISSION
Movement Schools is a growing network of free, public charter schools. We exist to love and value scholars and communities by leading a movement of excellence in education. About This Role Build Strong Bodies, Minds, and Character. We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and mission‑aligned K‑5 Health & Physical Education Teacher to join our Georgia school community. As a K‑5 Health & Physical Education Teacher, you will:

- Build foundational physical literacy in K‑5 scholars through developmentally appropriate instruction in gross motor skills, locomotor patterns, manipulative skills, fitness concepts, cooperative games, and beginning team and individual activities

- Create a structured, safe, and inclusive environment where every scholar can participate and grow
- Embed character development, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance into daily lessons
- Assess scholar growth using fitness benchmarks, skill rubrics, and other formative tools
- Differentiate instruction to support scholars with diverse abilities, including those with IEPs and 504 plans
- Maintain equipment, facilities and safety protocols in alignment with school and state standards
- Support school‑wide culture, arrival/dismissal duties, transitions, and family engagement events
- Participate in coaching cycles, professional development, and grade‑level planning
- Support school‑wide operations during non‑instructional blocks — including arrival and dismissal duties, lunch and recess coverage, hallway transitions, family engagement events, and other operational needs as assigned
- Build strong relationships with scholars, families, and staff
