JOB SUMMARY:

The Mobile Club allows youth who are currently unable to reach a Legacy Site to have access to a club experience. The Mobile Club Experience will bring the Club and its services where they are needed most. The part-time Mobile Club Specialist is responsible for innovative program implementation, facilitation, youth program quality, administrative compliance, and safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare youth for success

  • Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
  • Promotes and stimulates daily program participation as well as participation in designated national and special event programs.
  • Orientates new members to the mobile club program, special events, and opportunities, as well as club safety, program, and disciplinary rules.
  • In collaboration with the Mobile Coordinator, provide programming, activities, and instructions encouraging youth to explore, understand, appreciate, and apply creativity.
  • Provides guidance and role modeling to members.

Program

  • Implements, monitors, and evaluates programs, services, and activities for members.
  • Develops and posts weekly and monthly program plans.
  • Monitors and evaluates programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of members and the quality of programs.
  • Recognizes club members for program participation and achievement.
  • Maintains records to track attendance and participation.
  • Provides individual, small, and large group instruction to adapt the programs to the needs of the youth with varying intellectual and artistic abilities and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.

Supervision

  • Maintains order and discipline of club members.
  • Supervises and trains volunteers and program assistants.
  • Ensures a productive work environment by participating in weekly club staff meetings.

Supplies

  • Monitors supply needs and submits requests to the Mobile Coordinator for required supplies.
  • Help to keep the mobile club neat and orderly.

Environment & Working Conditions

  • The Mobile Club will be in multiple locations throughout the work week, primarily in the Clayton County Area, but not limited to this area.
  • The Mobile Club, on occasion, will attend special events, fairs, and festivals to promote BGCMA in the community at large.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and loud environment.
  • Ability to continuously stand and move around the Mobile Club.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to navigate stairs.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude in the workplace.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participates as part of a team to run quality programs by helping out where needed or directed,
  • Participates in training/educational opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of three years where:
    • There is experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.
    • Formal training, and/or experience teaching youth while creating engaging learning experiences.
    • Experience in digital composition, film and/or music production, post‑production (mastering), videography, e‑gaming, graphic design. STEAM, and/or beat‑making.
    • Ability to play at least one instrument (guitar/bass, drum set, vocals, piano, etc.) at an intermediate level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Ability to facilitate, teach, or instruct
  • Knowledge of technology and software such as tablets, social media, cloud‑based tools, virtual tools, etc.
  • Utilizes resources for free and donated supplies and encourages donations from community contacts.
  • CDL certification preferred but not required willingness to obtain CDL certification…
