Middle School Girls Soccer Coach
The Department of Athletics at Second Baptist School seeks a Middle School Girls Soccer Coach. The role is responsible for all aspects of the program, including player development, practice planning, game preparation, communication and program culture. The coach will model Christ-centered leadership while fostering a competitive and positive team environment.
This position reports to the Head Coach / Middle School Director of Athletics and is compensated with a seasonal stipend.
Job SummaryA Second Baptist School coach must be able to plan, organize and implement an appropriate athletic program that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their potential as athletes and as outstanding citizens. The coach will work under the supervision of the Middle School Director of Athletics and support the school’s mission to provide a competitive, cooperative, and teamwork-oriented environment that glorifies God and imparts valuable life lessons.

- Be a dedicated and loyal team member supporting all school-level activities and initiatives.
- Possess a strong desire to coach and develop all athletes.
- Have competency in playing/coaching soccer.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the middle school girls soccer program with professionalism and integrity.
- Be committed to carrying out the policies and procedures of the SBS athletic handbook and assume responsibilities assigned by the school and the Middle School Director of Athletics.
- Be a responsible steward of the school’s resources.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Have prior experience in coaching and/or significant playing experience.
- Mentor student athletes in their Christian faith, athletic skills and life skills.
- Understand and embrace Christian education; have a biblical perspective on athletics and competition.
- Be able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Be personable, energetic and approachable.
- Report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
- Be committed to professional growth.
- Be willing to collaborate with colleagues.
- Be proficient in technology.
Coaching experience, teacher certification and/or prior knowledge of Second Baptist Church and School will be considered a plus.
