Job Summary

The College of Engineering seeks an Academic Professional with a working title of Assistant Dean for Faculty Development & Career Pathways (ADFDCP), to provide leadership that advances faculty success and career progression across academic and research faculty professional pathways. This role serves as the College's primary administrator for research faculty promotions, academic nontenure track promotions, and third- year lecturer reviews, as well as managing Post Tenure Review (PTR), Faculty Development Grants (FDG), and faculty development programming for tenure-track faculty.

The ADFDCP will participate in the design and delivery of college wide training, mentoring, and professional development initiatives; manage fullcycle processes for assigned faculty groups; and ensure compliance with Institute and USG policies related to faculty career progression.

The position requires sound professional judgment, the ability to operate effectively across ambiguity, and the capacity to translate policy into clear guidance, timelines, and expectations for faculty and school staff and leadership.
