The Humanities Department at Perimeter College delivers a top‑tier education and exceptional access to hands‑on experiences. The department is home to the disciplines of communication, humanities, journalism, philosophy, religious studies, and world languages, including American Sign Language. Our faculty prepare students for proficiency in their prospective fields and to be effective, engaged citizens who think critically.

Perimeter College is seeking part‑time instructors in Philosophy who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.

Teach philosophical content at the collegiate level, employ varied instructional methods, and facilitate student learning while fostering critical engagement.

A minimum of a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in Philosophy.

Teaching experience in face‑to‑face and asynchronous online classrooms is preferred.

• Ability to teach Philosophy at the collegiate level.
• Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods.
• Ability to relate to students and facilitate learning.
• Effective communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and teaching skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology.

A criminal background check is required.

Position may require non‑standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend, and/or other campus locations).

$3,075 for each 3‑credit hour course taught and $2,050 for each 2‑credit hour course taught.
