Instructor will teach content-specific grammar, spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary, and composition. Guides students on content-specific conversation. Teach students about content-specific language literature, culture, and history.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreating engaging lesson plans; planning classroom activities to motivate students; preparing visual aids; grading homework and exams; coaching students individually or as a group. Communicating with parents and other teachers about a student's progress; and other tasks as assigned. Providing specific and timely feedback on academic efforts, behavior and work quality, and maintaining a classroom that is designed and organized for maximal student learning.
KeyJob Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher required. Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience preferred. Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 and content area specialization as required by the GaPSC. Normal classroom/school setting. Must be able to stand and walk approximately seven (7) to seven and one-half (7.5) hours per day. Light duty
- On most occasions sitting at a desk or table; intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. Light lifting or carrying; twenty (20) lbs. or less.
