$500 sign-on bonus for vaccinated teachers (must be within six months of being fully vaccinated, or have a booster if beyond six months).
We are looking for a Lead Teacher in one of our Toddler classrooms (1-2 years old; currently all two year olds). Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. They write and implement their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment where children develop a lifelong love of learning.
Lead teachers should have a minimum of one year of experience, good classroom management skills, ability to work well with other teachers, and a love of working with children. Teachers are also expected to follow Health and Safety guidelines and communicate well with parents.
Must be available 7:00 am–4:00 pm Monday–Friday.
Starting pay: $18.00 per hour.

- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field, with management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
- Equivalent educational qualifications including 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8, with management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool.
- An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field, and one year of experience (1560 clock hours) working in a licensed childcare center or preschool, plus one year of management experience.
- Two years of experience (3120 clock hours) working in a licensed childcare center or preschool, and one year of management experience.
- A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential, additional 12 semester hours or continuing education units related to young children birth to age 8, two years (3120 clock hours) experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool, and one year of management experience.
- Develop lesson plans.
- Meet the individual needs of the children.
- Communicate with parents.
- Participate in staff and training meetings.
- Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
- Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
- Present expectations appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
- Plan and implement activities that develop self‑esteem and social skills.
- Communicate professionally with parents and fellow staff.
- Build teamwork.
- Use assessment tools.
- Commit to continuing education.
