Chess Coach (After-School Program) – Atlanta Area

We are seeking an engaging and reliable Chess Coach to lead an after-school chess program one day per week during the upcoming school year in the Atlanta city area.

Tuesdays from 3:15 PM – 4:30 PM

Weekly commitment throughout the school year

• Supervise and check in students at the start of class
• Prepare for lessons
• Receive training
• Teach chess fundamentals, strategy, and gameplay
• Differentiate instruction for beginner and intermediate players
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
• Encourage sportsmanship, critical thinking, and student engagement
• Send class report after each session

• Knowledge of chess rules, strategy, and gameplay a plus
• Experience working with children or in educational settings a plus
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Must be able to pass a background check

No materials required — all chess supplies and curriculum materials will be provided
